Climb with a purpose! Whether you are a first-time climber or a seasoned veteran, we invite you to join us for the 8th Chris Hooyman Memorial Climb for charity. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Chris Hooyman Outdoor Education Fund, which is dedicated to providing wilderness experiences and outdoor leadership opportunities to youth who otherwise might be unable to participate.
We have space for 9 intrepid mountaineers on this 3-day climb of Mount Rainier, the most prominent peak in North America and the most heavily glaciated mountain in the lower 48. You will work as a team as you gain 9,000 feet of elevation to attempt the summit, learning technical skills such as how to use an ice axe and crampons in the process. You'll be supported every step of the way by our dedicated team of trainers and professional guides.
We will be hosting informational meetings about the climb in the fall and winter (dates TBD). Stay tuned for updates! For further details or to sign up for the climb, please use our Contact Form or email Nancy Hooyman at hooymannj@gmail.com.
